Chargebee is a billing platform specialised in subscription management and recurring billing that helps businesses automate their revenue operations, including billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition.

Actuals has a fully automated integration with Chargebee. With this integration Actuals is able to extract all Chargebee invoices for reconciliation purposes on a daily basis. To retrieve data from Chargebee Actuals uses the:

Prerequisites
- Access to Chargebee user interface with administrator rights.
Create API key and set the rights
- Go to your Chargebee environment and sign in with your user credentials.
- Go to “Settings” → “Configure Chargebee” → “API Keys and Webhooks” and then click on the “API Keys” tab.
- There are three types of API keys. Actuals requires an API key of type “Read-only key”.
- Create an API key with settings:
- API key type “Read-Only Key”
- Type “All”
- Permissions check “Allow read-only access to transactional data” & “Allow read-only access to your plans and addons”
- Name “Actuals”
When you created the API credentials please share this information with your Actuals implementation consultant, who will use it to establish the necessary data retrieval connections:

Alternatively, store the API key under Import › Setup › Credentials, attach it to a Chargebee source under Import › Setup › Sources, then monitor Import › Files.
