The Shopify E-commerce connector enables daily import of three transaction types (Orders, Transactions and Refunds) to the Actuals platform for reconciliation purposes.
Don’t confuse the Shopify E-commerce connector with the Shopify Payments connector. This connector imports order related data into the Actuals platform. Not payment related data.
Setting up an API connection
Prerequisites
- Admin access to your Shopify environment
Create an API key
Follow the instruction provided by Shopify to generate a custom app API key:
- Assign the rights to this API key (configure the API scopes):
- Only assign read access to all scopes
- Save and copy the API key
- Add the API key to the Actuals platform using the guide below. Use credential type Other if there is no Shopify specific type available.

After the credential exists, attach it to a Shopify source under Import › Setup › Sources, then monitor ingestion under Import › Files.
