To retrieve data from Buckaroo, you will need to establish an integration with an SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) server.
This process involves two steps. First, you must request a Buckaroo SFTP server from the Buckaroo team. Second, you will share the SFTP server credentials with the Actuals team. Actuals will connect the SFTP server to the Actuals platform.

Step 1: Requesting an SFTP Server from Buckaroo

To obtain an SFTP server from Buckaroo, please follow the instructions outlined in Buckaroo’s SFTP server request manual. Additional information can be accessed via the following link: Buckaroo SFTP Server Request Manual (Only the part on how to request an SFTP server is relevant, not the part on how to connect to the SFTP server yourself)
Buckaroo offers various types of export files to the SFTP server. For matching purposes, we require the following export:
  • Payout Export - This export contains information about all the transactions that have been paidout from your Buckaroo account to your bank account on a daily basis.
To ensure that you have a comprehensive historical dataset, we recommend requesting Buckaroo to generate exports for the past periods as well. For at least 1 more period than you expect to need for the reconciliation.

Step 2: Sharing SFTP credentials with Actuals

Once Buckaroo has set up your SFTP server, you will receive the following information:
  • Login Name
  • Client Certificate
  • Passphrase
  • Hostname (likely to be sftp.buckaroo.nl)
Please share this information with your Actuals implementation consultant, who will use it to establish the necessary data retrieval connections.
